With a length of 8.6 km (5.3 miles) and an elevation gain of 827 meters (2731 feet), this trail will lead you to discover one of the most evocative places on Lake Iseo. After your hike, you have a couple of wonderful options for lunch. You could stop at the charming Osteria Pastina, enjoying local flavors and perhaps reflecting on the stunning views you just witnessed. Alternatively, you could descend to Sale Marasino, a charming lake town, and find a delightful restaurant there.

You'll start from Portole, a corner of paradise that resembles a terrace suspended over the lake. A path awaits you, winding through enchanted woods, where the scent of broad-leaved trees and conifers envelops you in an embrace. After a pleasant walk, you'll reach a rustic tavern, a place where time seems to stand still, and the authentic flavors of local cuisine will allow you to rediscover the taste of simple things.

After passing the tavern, the trail becomes more challenging, but the view that opens up before you will give you the energy to face every step. Lake Iseo, with its crystal-clear waters and picturesque islands, will seem like a painting created just for you. And then, finally, the summit: the feeling of having made it, of having conquered the peak, will fill you with pride and satisfaction.

From up there, the world will seem smaller, closer. You can admire the Alpine peaks that stand out on the horizon, the valleys that extend at your feet, the lake that shines under the sun. A panorama that will remain in your heart forever.
