Matteo, International Mountain Leader

From the hills of Franciacorta to the peaks overlooking  Lake Iseo, my life has been a constant journey upward. I learned the true value of endurance and silence by  trekking thousands of miles in complete autonomy  across America and Oceania, but it was in returning to  my home mountains that I found my true mission.

With this spirit, I founded Hiking Lake Iseo in 2023: a  project created to serve others and share the raw  beauty of this territory. As a certified Mountain Leader  (AMM) and member of the Association of Mountain Guides of Lombardy, I will lead you along paths that don’t end at sunset. I love sharing my passion for astronomy, turning nights in the high mountains into a journey through the stars, teaching you to read the night sky with the same care we use to read a map.

My passion for the great outdoors is rooted in the hills where I grew up, eventually leading me to international destinations like Lapland and Madeira. These journeys taught me that every trail has a story to tell, especially those we call 'home.'

Since becoming a certified Mountain Leader (AMM) in 2022, my goal has been clear: to guide you toward the most authentic and less-traveled side of our mountains. I like to describe my treks as 'exploratory journeys,' where technical expertise meets the joy of storytelling in a territory that never ceases to amaze.
