Cycling Gear

We've partnered with Cycling Lake Iseo to bring you top-quality gravel, road, and electric bikes. You can find informations and pricing here.

When preparing for a cycling tour, particularly in scenic regions such as those surrounding Lake Iseo, it is crucial to equip oneself with the appropriate gear to ensure both comfort and safety. The selection of cycling gear can significantly impact the overall experience, allowing participants to focus on the journey rather than potential discomfort or hazards.

First of all, know that your guide will carry navigation tools, repair tools, and a first-aid kit, so you can relax and enjoy your ride.

Next, a well-fitted helmet. Although wearing a helmet while cycling is not mandatory in Italy, it is strongly recommended by us. It is essential to choose a helmet that meets safety standards and fits snugly without being overly tight.
If you rent through our partner a helmet is included.

Next, we need a bicycle. You can choose to bring your own bicycle as long as it is in a good mechanical shape, and it's the appropriate type for the chosen trip. As a general rule, mountain bikes and gravel bikes fit the bill for every activity we offer, while road bikes have a more limited application. Don't worry if you only have a road bike though! Check the terrain section at the end of the activity you choose or ask your guide if in doubt. We can always modify our itinerary to suit every bike and riding style.
In case you decide to rent through our partner you'll have a selection of road or gravel bikes to choose from, including e-bikes.

Next, appropriate clothing is vital. Breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics help regulate body temperature and keep the rider comfortable during long rides. A rain jacket is recommended. Don't forget warm clothing for long downhills, even during summer. Padded shorts are recommended to reduce chafing and provide additional comfort on the saddle.

Footwear is another critical component of cycling gear. Cycling shoes designed for clipless pedals can improve pedaling efficiency by allowing for a more secure connection between the foot and the bike. If you don't have cycling shoes don't worry. Our partner can equip your bike with flat pedals, allowing you to cycle in your preferred footwear.

Hydration is critical during cycling tours, especially in warmer climates. Cyclists should bring a water bottle or hydration pack to ensure they remain adequately hydrated.

Remember to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and some snacks for energy. We'll be taking breaks on our rides, and we can pick up things at bars along the way.
