This challenging yet rewarding hike, spanning 14 km (8.7 miles) with a significant elevation gain of 1087 meters (3566 feet), offers a complete exploration of the region’s stunning landscapes. Starting in the picturesque town of Tavernola, this route will guide you to Punta Alta, along the scenic ridge to La Rolla saddle, and finally atop Monte Bronzone. After your trek, you can choose to enjoy a well-deserved meal in one of the charming lakeside towns surrounding Lake Iseo.

Your adventure begins in Tavernola, where a well-defined path ascends towards Punta Alta. The initial climb offers breathtaking views of Lake Iseo, setting the stage for the day's journey. As you progress, you'll traverse the ridge towards La Rolla, a natural saddle offering a moment of respite and a chance to admire the surrounding panorama. From La Rolla, the trail ascends to Monte Bronzone. This section of the hike is the most demanding, but the reward is unparalleled: a 360-degree view of the lake, the surrounding mountains, and the distant Alpine peaks.

The descent follows a different route, offering a fresh perspective of the landscape. As you wind your way back towards Tavernola, you'll pass through diverse terrain, from rocky paths to forested trails. Upon reaching the village, or a nearby lakeside town, you can choose to celebrate your achievement with a delightful lunch in one of the many restaurants offering local cuisine and stunning lake views.
