This 14 km technical loop is a demanding high-elevation trek within the Lake Iseo mountain range. Starting from the coastal town of Tavernola, the route involves a sustained ascent of 1,087 meters. The trail is characterized by diverse alpine terrain, including forested paths, rocky ridges, and open summits, making it suitable for experienced hikers seeking a high-performance outing.
The ascent begins with a steep climb toward Punta Alta, providing immediate elevation over the lake basin. The route then follows a scenic ridgeline toward the La Rolla saddle, a key navigational waypoint before the final push. The summit of Monte Bronzone serves as the primary objective, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the Prealps and the entire Oglio River valley. The descent utilizes an alternative technical path to return to Tavernola, completing a comprehensive circuit of the massif.
